Praying Scripture for our Children
"More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of." Alfred Lord Tennyson
As moms, one of the absolute best things we can do for our children is to pray for them. After all, no matter how well intentioned we are, there will be times we will not be able to be there for our kids or be able to help them in the ways they need help; however, we have a heavenly Father who knows our needs before we ask, and has promised that He will never leave or forsake His children.
God has given us amazing resources both in access to His throne room through prayer (Hebrews 4:16), and in the gift of His Word. When we don’t know exactly what to pray for our children we can go to scripture and pray His Word. Our heavenly Father, through His Word and Spirit, will guide us in how to pray for our children and then He answers! He invites us to be a part of the process and our faith is increased as we see how He moves and works in our children’s lives when we come to Him in prayer.
Passion4Moms wants to partner with you in lifting our kids and their needs to God in prayer and will be including prayers, based on scripture, in our weekly newsletter. We’ve designed the prayers with blanks where you’ll fill in your children’s names. You can choose to pray one prayer a day, pray all the prayers over your children at one time, or pray the entirety of the prayers each day for a week.
Join us as we lift those entrusted to our care to the One who is Faithful and True. (Revelation 19:11).
"Prayer should not be regarded as a duty which must be performed, but rather as a privilege to be enjoyed, a rare delight that is always revealing some new beauty." E.M. Bounds
